Weapon Ele Dmg

The Attack Power is the raw damage done without the aid of elements or secondary status effects. It is important to favor raw damage over elemental damage and secondary statuses because raw damage is universal and has more weight in most cases (100 points of raw damage is worth more than 100. Edit: As of 10/15/12, Windsong and Elemental Force now proc on all damage and healing, including melee, ranged, direct and DoT. They now trigger on the new 'Real Procs Per Minute' (RPPM) system, which is weapon speed and instant attack independent and fully detailed in this blue post. Energy weapons. Energy weapons shoot energy beams and bullets, all of which can come in a unique, elemental flavor: arc (electric), void (purple magic stuff) or solar (fire). On average, these energy weapons do slightly less damage to normal enemies than their kinetic cousins, but they deal far higher damage to shields. Weapons in Monster Hunter World (MHW) are equipment that assists the player during their hunts by helping them deal damage to Monsters. Weapons are divided into fourteen types, each with special requirements and a unique move-set, complete with strengths and weaknesses. Weapons can have innate element damage, then rune slot, poison/artifact, firebrand from pyro, venom coating, sparking swings, elemental arrowheads, elemental ranger talent. Should be it. Stack it all and you can strip both armor at once equally. My new builds are built around this. True hybrid damage, and its broken strong. Riot games league of legends download.
Which one is better D:? Would a 30% weapon ele damage + 1-20 fire damage be better than a 1-40lightning + 1-20 cold damage? IDK what kind of rings I should invest in please help :o | Posted by NinjaGuerra on Mar 12, 2013, 10:51:01 PM |
If you are running auras and have a decent bow %WED is better most of the time. | Posted by Plastic_Cup on Mar 12, 2013, 10:54:04 PM |
You do need flat dmg to be able to take the fruits from % elem dmg.. It also highly depends on how many passive nodes you have invested in % elem dmg. Best option would be getting both ;p | Posted by VRShiva on Mar 12, 2013, 10:55:52 PM |
Most of the time if you take all the elemental nodes in the passive tree, 1-40 lightning would give more dps than 30% elemental damage. With a 3elements thicket bow it may be different tho. | Posted by imayben00b on Mar 12, 2013, 11:19:35 PM |

' No way. You have a bad Bow with 50 lightning 50 Fire 20 Cold AND 92 from Wrath and 51 from Anger is 263 top end modified +81% in your tree is 476.03 Add in your 30% is 111% total modifier and you have 554.93. That is almost 80 dmg with terrible gear and level 15 auras. 263+40 from your ring scenario with the same auras and modifiers is 548.43. No 1-40 lightning damage is not better, not even even with a garbage bow and no ele dmg on gear. Id say it depends on what you are running. I ran some tests on my char, using a basic thicket with 25-107 elemental damage and 103% weapon elemental damage from the tree and equipment. Without running auras, addition of a 29% WED 11-21 ele damage item or a 11-63 ele damage item gives almost identical DPS increases for the standard attack. However when you factor in more elemental damage using Elemental Hit for the attack, then the 29% adds slightly more DPS, add in auras and that jumps to a 50DPS increase. May not be a huge difference but it is there. (this is on a (4k+DPS attack) What confuses me is when you use LA there almost is no difference in DPS with or without auras! What i suspect is the worse your equipment is the better the flat damage mods are compared to the %WED, once you start doing more damage overall then the %WED is probably better overall When i removed a lot of equipment, addin the 11-63 flat ele damage gave 50DPS more than 2 items giving 56%WED Summary Lowish levels and DPS go for flat ele damage High levels and DPS go for %WED | Posted by Cypherz on Apr 12, 2013, 3:35:12 PM |
IF you are using blackgealm, +%elemental damage ! Else, try to calculate it from your own stuff like it has been done with random numbers here, it shoudln't be long and it will really give you an answer. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading. Weapon Elemental Damage Diablo 3
I really want to know how this support gem works and i can't seem to find the info. A few questions: One. Does it need to be socketed into a weapon and connected to a skill gem? Two. Since Support gems only buff connected skills (And not weapons) What exactly is this support gem buffing? - I know it can't actually buff the elemental damage on the weapon (See link 1-3 Fire 1-21 Lightning, since that is not a support gem's function). I also know it's somehow buffing Lightning Strike. But what and how, exactly? - I assume it either buffs the 50% converted lightning modifier from Lightning Strike to 113% Or the overall damage caused by Lightning strike by 63% Sorry, i suspect this may be in the wrong place but truthfully, i wasn't exactly sure where to make the thread. Some items in this post are currently unavailable. Last edited by l0rdzedd on Aug 1, 2012, 12:17:47 AM | Posted by on Aug 1, 2012, 12:14:16 AM |
1. It can be socket in any equip and connected to the skill gem. 2. The support Gem is buffing the elemental damage of Lightning Strike. | Posted by on Aug 1, 2012, 12:19:38 AM |
lightning strike takes 50% of your physical damage and converts it into lightning damage, the support gem is giving you a bonus 61% more elemental damage, when you use lightning strike, it also adds in all base damage you have from other gear, for example, the bonus elemental damage on your weapon. so, when elemental damage support applies its bonus, it is applying its elemental dmg bonus to all the elemental damage which lightning strike is using. At least this is how i understand it. i hope this helps. The answer is 42. Ashamedly i found the result simply by checking the actual skill icon of Lightning Strike located on the skill-bar. Sorry for the wasteful post and thanks for the replies. | Posted by on Aug 1, 2012, 12:24:21 AM |

if you hover over lightning strike, as with other attack skills, on the skill bar, you will see something like 'mainhand does w-x physical dmg, z-y lighning dmg'. increased weapon elemental dmg increases the lightning dmg. if you have a-b fire dmg or c-d cold dmg, those will be increased as well, even if the dmg comes from gear or other support gems. the support gem doesn't have to be on a weapon itself to work, same as any attack skill gem requiring a weapon to use. increased weapon elemental dmg only works on attack skill gems that require a weapon, spells like fireball or ice spear are unaffected. | Posted by on Aug 1, 2012, 12:29:50 AM |
' it really is O.K. :) most of us that post answers are posting because we care! The answer is 42. Ele Bow-Rauder: Grendelake(68) FP crit witch: Psykick (69) MS Cyclone Rauder: GrendelReborn(74) | Posted by dieslave on Aug 1, 2012, 1:16:54 AM |
Does weapon elemental damage increase the lightning damage on the 3 projectiles? The wording on http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Lightning_Strike is extremely confusing but it seems to say that those three projectiles are not part of the melee attack. | Posted by on Mar 15, 2015, 5:30:57 AM |
' The projectiles aren't part of the melee attack (since they're, you know, projectiles), but they are still affected by the damage conversion, and are thus affected by WED. That's why Melee Phys isn't really recommended for LS, as most of things that will probably hit are the projectiles themselves. In turn, the PPAD support gem should affect the projectiles but not the initial melee hit. it suffers the same situation as Molten Strike. EDIT: OMG this was a necro. didn't even notice. Better stay in the land of the damned, Exile. Here, even the very words are corrupted by Nightmare. Last edited by enveratise on Mar 15, 2015, 6:03:40 AM | Posted by on Mar 15, 2015, 6:01:39 AM |
